Biography
Zihan Zhu (RECS 2010) is a Ph.D. Student at the China University of Petroleum-Beijing. His research focuses on CCS including the use of CO2 for enhanced oil or gas recovery and long-term carbon storage. He has conducted experimental research on CO2-water-rock interactions and has been involved in a number of CCS projects including assessments of CO2 storage capacity in the Dagang and Shengli oilfields sponsored by COACH, the PetroChina project, Injecting Flue Gas into the Shegli Reservoir to Enhance Oil Recovery and Mechanism of Property Variation During CO2 Fooding. In addition to RECS, Zihan has been involved in other CCS education and capacity building programs including the COACH Spring School on CCS in China, and the IEA GHG CCS Summer School in Australia.
