Katie Hernon

Katie Hernon is a Geoscientist in the Virginia Division of Geology and Mineral Resources within the Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy. She works on a USGS-supported regional carbon sequestration program to characterize potential geological reservoirs for CO2 storage within saline formations and oil and gas reservoirs in Virginia. She received a M.S. in Geophysics at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and a B.S. in Geology from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
