Biography
Karine Schepers-Cheng is a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Advanced Resources International, Inc. (ARI) with over 8 years experience in supply modeling, carbon sequestration and new oil and gas recovery technologies. Her focus has been the evaluation of unconventional resources and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction strategies. Karine specializes in reservoir simulation of conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources, advanced production forecasting methods, and property evaluation. She has assessed the feasibility of numerous coalbed methane (CBM) and gas shale projects in Australia, China, India, Poland, Scotland, South Africa, and the U.S. She was a technical lead in the US-DOE sponsored Southwest Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnership???s San Juan Basin ECBM and CO2 Sequestration Project at the Pump Canyon Site. She is involved in the U.S. DOE-sponsored Regional Carbon Sequestration Partnerships??? SECARB???s Mississippi Saline CO2 Injection Test involving Southern Company and the Electric Power Research Institute. Prior to her work with ARI, Karine was a Reservior Engineer at TOTAL France and Vice President of Techsia, Inc. a company that provided petrophysical software and consulting work to major and independent oil & gas and mining companies and was the prime support contractor for Shell and BHP Billington. Karine received her B.S., Geological Engineering with Highest Distinction from Institut Francais Albert-de-Lapparent, an M.S., Petroleum Engineering from French institute of Petroleum and an M.S., Petroleum Engineering/Geology from Texas A&M University.
