Biography
Jake Horner is a Geologist in the Energy and Environment Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. His research primarily focuses on hydrogeologic characterization and geologic modeling to support a variety of subsurface investigations, including geologic carbon sequestration, environmental site characterization, and deployment and testing of various groundwater remediation strategies. Jake also has experience performing geothermal resource evaluations and has contributed to several Quaternary fault investigations in southern California. He is currently supporting multiple aspects of project planning and geologic characterization for the FutureGen 2.0 carbon sequestration project in Illinois. Jake received his B.S. in Geology from University of Oregon and his M.S. in Geology from Central Washington University.
