Biography
Dr. Hui Su (RECS 2010) received a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Economics at West Virginia University; her dissertation was on the economics of CCS and carbon management for the Shenhua's Coal-To-Liquid (CTL) project in China. Through the development of a programming model that associates CO2 point sources and storage reservoirs within the Ordos basin in China, she helped to optimize the firm's CCS decisions on CO2 distributions, evaluated the economic viability of CCS implementation under China's potential climate change policies and the potential for CCS as a carbon mitigation option in China. Her research interests involve CCS economic modeling, carbon management under the Clean Development Mechanism and policy analysis of GHG mitigation. She holds a B.S. in Economics from Inner Mongolia University and a M.S. in Environmental Planning and Management from Nanjing University.
